Build a trading process
The idea
A usable plan identifies the market, session, setup, invalidation, size, exit rules and conditions for doing nothing. It also defines daily limits and how performance is reviewed. A plan should be specific enough that another person can tell whether you followed it without knowing whether you made money.
A worked example
“Buy strength” is vague. “Only consider the setup after the specified close, with a defined invalidation and capped exposure” is testable once its numbers are stated.
Try it yourself
Draft a one-page demo plan with an explicit no-trade condition and end-of-session review.
A mistake to avoid
Using a profit target as the entire trading plan.
